The
Young Explorer’s package
is a specially designed safari offering families the opportunity to
discover
the wonders of the African wilderness together. One of the special
attractions
of this program is it's exclusivity. Each family has the use of a
private eight-bedded camp, two professional guides, personal chef,
waiter and
housekeeper. We are quite literally there to explore the bush at our
leisure,
while never losing sight of the fact that being in the wilderness is
also about
having fun!
Accommodation
Young
Explorers
Kalahari Family Adventure is based at Edo’s
Camp.
This remote camp overlooks an active
waterhole and accommodates guests in four twin bedded luxury
tents set on decks
and under thatch, which provide welcome protection from the desert sun,
each
tent is en-suite with shower, flush toilet and bath for additional
comfort.
Activities
Activities
include walking with the San Bushman
trackers tracking white rhino on foot as well as joining the women and
children
of the village in gathering edible roots and plants, which helps to
give a
fascinating insight into their traditional life. It is also possible
just to
relax in front of the waterhole as a steady parade of antelope quench
their
thirst, or even take a dip in the swimming pool a wonderful way to cool
off in
the Kalahari! The
children also have the
opportunity of learning to drive a specially designed game drive
vehicle.
