to five traditional tribal homesteads representing the Ndebele tribe at
the start of the tour and then followed by visits to the otherfour ethnic
homesteads – Zulu, Basotho, Xhosa and Pedi.
In an age where the traditions of the African people are fast being replaced by Non-African values and lifestyles it was a refreshing idea to preserve the cultures. Co-founded by the National Geographic adventurer Kingsley Holgate the facility now boasts an enlarged Lodge with luxuriously decorated suites in decor reflecting the tribes they represent. The
ultimate experience would be to overnight here (extra, subject to
availability) so we will only do a day visit. This does not make the
experience less culture rich or less enjoyable.
Besides the traditional villages there are a host of other activities that will please everyone from the adventurous to the kids. A definite - MUST VISIT for any person coming to South Africa for a vacation or visit.
