hotel and casino, it has grown into
a complex with multiple entertainment halls, four hotels (Cabanas, The
Sun City Hotel, Cascades, Palace of the Lost City, [which is one of the top
hotels in
the world]) an inland beach (Valley of the
Waves) and Sun City casino complex.
It hosts the annual multi
million $
Nedbank Golf Challenge event where the biggest names in golf
congregate to
do battle. It is also where the first one Million Dollar prize in the
world was
paid for a win. Today there are two world class
golf courses at Sun City. The first is the Sun City
Gary
Player Country Club and the course where the
million dollar
challenges were played and decided, the second is the
Lost City
Country club added in 1992.
