A land of stark contrasts but
also one that will keep it's grip on your heart forever once you have
been there. In the north there are areas where civilisation has
virtually stood still and some tribes live the same as they have
since they arrived in this part of the world. In the south there is
the semi desert areas, flanked on the west by the oldest
desert in the world (Namib) and on the eastern border the Kalahari
desert region.
To quote the Namibian tourism
board;
“Namibia
never fails to enthral its visitors, to charge the fantasies and
imaginations of narrators in their efforts to aptly describe the
many-faceted grandeur and harsh splendour of this desert country. So
many words have been written and told, and still poets do not tire in
their efforts to invent adjectives to do justice to its unique,
ever-varying magnificence. “
Inabus Tours say,
“You cannot visit Namibia
without the distinctiveness of it becoming engraved indelibly on your
memory and it becoming a part of your being. Once you leave, it is as
if some part of you remains behind, compelling you to come back and
try to find that which makes your feeling of tranquility and peace
complete”
