The Kanana Mokoro Trail package is a specially designed mokoro experience, allowing visitors a unique opportunity to search for rarely seen creatures such as the sitatunga and Pel's fishing owl. One of the special attractions of this program is its exclusivity and flexibility. The trails camp accommodates a maximum of four people in two twin bedded tents, and the camp includes the services of two professional guides, personal chef, waiter, housekeeper and mokoro guides. 

Intimate camp with accommodation in 2 twin bedded tents: insect proof, double fly dome tents with sewn in floors each with comfortable twin beds. Every tent has a separate bucket shower and toilet facility. This gives you the ‘true’ vintage African experience whilst searching for the elusive sitatunga by mokoro and on foot.

 

The focus of Kanana Mokoro Trail is to traverse the Okavango Delta in a mokoro (traditional canoe). Your guide will pole you peacefully through one of the most remote areas of the Okavango Delta in search of the elusive sitatunga.  Your guests will gain a detailed view of this diverse environment, which includes red lechwe (antelope), fish eagles, painted reed frogs, golden orb spiders and malachite kingfishers to mention a few.  Walks can also be taken on small islands where the pel’s fishing owl is known to nest.

Minimum age 16 yrs on Kanana Mokoro Trail safaris, however younger children may be accommodated on request provided they travel with their family and take the full camp.
