Okavango House Boats

If you want to experience the Okavango Delta at it's own pace then this is the answer. One of the key features of Africa is the slow relaxed pace at which a holiday passes. A house boat holiday is the ideal way to take in the marvellous bird, animal and plant life in this unique eco system. You can cruise, glide along on a Mokoro, watch birds, animals and, if you need something more exciting, try your hand at tiger fishing.
At night the only sounds that you will hear are the ones that are generated by the tranquil surroundings

Accommodation options

There are three boats with different levels of accommodation available on this unique holiday namely;

An intimate boat with 4 en-suite cabins make for a very private holiday and would suit people who want a little more luxury.
A second boat is in the economy class and although it does not make the experience less anjoyable it does mean that you could share the boat with up to 24 other tourists as there are 12 double cabins that can accommodate 2 persons each.
The third boat is ideally suited for drive in families and it has one en-suite state room and 6 double cabins on top sharing two bathrooms.

Additional Activities

Mokoro trips - A dugout tree canoe propelled by a guide using a long pole. This takes you very close to game and is an experience for the more adventurous
An adventure traversing the Okavango Delta using power boats.
Fishing for mainly tilapa and tiger fish.
Birding. By nature this is a birder's paradise and one can hear the african fish eagle cry while watching white stork and marabou breed in the trees.
Game watching flights over the delta.
Undertake a tour to Tsodilo hills in the Kalahari desert. This is World Heritage Site where you can find more than 4500 rock art paintings, besides some other important archaeological finds.
