8 Day Namaqualand Flower and Richtersveld tour itineraryDay 1: Depart from Cape Town airport to Piekenierskloof at Sitrusdal. Conclude the day with an appetising dinner.Day
2:
After a scrumptious breakfast we depart for Lampberts Bay. 18th Aug - Day 4: We travel to Alexander Bay where we will be joined by Johan, a guide in the Richtersveld area who will tell us all there is to know about the area. We switch to open safari vehicles which will take us from Alexander Bay to the Richtersveld National Park where we will overnight and have dinner. 19th Aug - Day 5: Area guides accompany us on a tour through the Richtersveld Park after breakfast. We return to the Park for our second night and enjoy a meal. 20th Aug - Day
6: We
say farewell to the friendly people and guides of the Richtersveld
Park and travel to Alexander Bay where we meet up with the
awaiting bus
that will take us via Port Nolloth to the Springbok park where we will view the flowers
(depending on the rainy season) and overnight at
Springbok. 21st Aug - Day 7: After breakfast we visit the Tortoise reserve , Garies and then return to the Klawer lodge where our evening meal will be a braai . 22nd Aug - Day 8: After breakfast we depart to Van Rhynsdorp and Nieuwoudtville where we visit the waterfall and the Quiver Tree Forest. Pancakes and drinks will be served at the church hall at Nieuwoudtville. We then travel to the farm Matjiesfontein to view the blinding display of colours of the flowers and then return via the Van Rhyns pass to Klawer where we overnight. We will enjoy the display of the flowers along the way back. 23rd Aug - Day 9: After breakfast we leave for Cape Town airport where we say goodbye trusting that everybody enjoyed the 2-in-1 tour.
