Scheduled Departures:

This tour is designed to afford the tourists from Gauteng an opportunity to see the Namaqualand Flowers at an affordable and bus tour option.
Day 1: Depart from
Engen garage in Hatfield (Cnr Duncan st and Burnett rd) Pretoria at
06h00. We travel via Ventersdorp and Vryburg to Kuruman where we will
visit the “Eye” of Kuruman. Overnight will be at Desert
Place just outside Upington with dinner included. Please carry
somethimg to eat during the day.
Day 2: After
breakfast we depart for Springbok where the flowers will start their
display. We stop at Keimoes and Pofadder for palm dates and visit the
Augrabies Waterfall. Overnight at Kokerboom Hotel with dinner included.
Day 3: Today we visit the Tortoise Nature Reserve at Kamieskroon
and visit “Genis se winkel” at Garies before continuing on
to Klawer, stopping along the way for photos and to look at the flowers. We will overnight at Klawer, dinner included.
Day 4: After a hearty breakfast we travel to Nieuwoudtville via Van Rhynsdorp and the Van Rhyns Pass where a charming display of flowers greet us. We visit the waterfall and the church hall for pancakes whereafter we travel to Matjiesfontein with hectares of flowers in blinding displays of colour
as well as to partake in some traditional cooking like “Tamatie
bredie, Tripe and offall and some other dishes. We return to Klawer to
overnight and have dinner.
Day 5: Today takes us to Clanwilliam and we visit Leipoldt's grave in the Cedar Mountains, a shoe factory and the Ramskop Park with beautiful flowers.
After lunch we visit the bird island at Lampberts Bay. Overnight
at the chalets in Lampberts Bay with dinner as Isabella’s
Restaurant.
Day 6: On the road
again to Elandsbaai for breakfast at Vensterklip and travel to
Dwarskersbos and Velddrif on the west coast. This is home to a fishing
industry and after viewing this we will overnight at the Riviera Hotel
in Velddrif with dinner included.
Day 7: After
breakfast we travel to Langebaan for a boat trip on the Langebaan
lagoon and then travel along the West Coast road to Yzerfontein,
Melkbosstrand and Blouberg Strand before stopping at the Brackenfell
Motel to overnight.
Day 8: Return to Pretoria pausing at Colesberg for lunch.
