Departure Dates

Day 1: Depart for Namaqualand from Cape Town airport or Cape Town station at 09h00. Short tour of the Cape Peninsula with lunch  and then we travel to the Riviera Hotel at Velddrif to overnight.

Day 2: We explore the flowers at Langebaan and surrounds travelling through Saldanha, Paternoster, St Helena Bay and returning to the Riviera Hotel at Velddrif.  (Overnight)

Day 3: Takes us through Lambertsbaai, Strandfontein, Lutzville which are some of the towns  we will visit with frequent stops along the way to view the natural beauty of Namaqualand at this time of the year. Overnight stop is at Oase B&B at Klawer.

Day 4: We visit  “Genis se Winkel” in Garies and explore the surroundings up to the “Tortoise Nature Reserve” at  Kamieskroon before returning to overnight at the Oase B&B at Klawer.

Day 5: The Waterfall at Nieuwoudtville, Pancakes at the Church Hall and Matjiesfontein's flowers will make this a day to remember. We return to overnight at the Oase B&B at Klawer.

Day 6: Soldaatkop, famous SA poet Leipoldt's grave as well as the spectacular rock formations of Pakhuispass are on the menu today. We will also visit a Rooibos tea factory, a "velskoen" factory as well as the  Ramskop Nature garden at Clanwilliam. Overnight at Piekenierskloof with a braai to celebrate our tour.

Day 7: A short tour of the Cape Town waterfront will conclude the tour and then we return to the Cape Town airport or station.
